Celebrate National Night Out 2010 with your Fremont neighbors and communities across the nation on Tuesday, August 3. Host a party in your Fremont neighborhood to raise crime prevention awareness and develop relationships with representatives from Police, Fire and other City departments.

National Night Out 2010 is an annual nationwide event designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and unity, raise crime prevention awareness, and develop partnerships between the City and the community-on a street, block and city-wide level. This year, the citywide celebration will include Neighborhood Crime Watch groups, CERT members, homeowners associations, and other neighborhood groups interested in celebrating and strengthening their neighborhood connections.

You don't have to live in a district of single-family homes to be involved in a Fremont block party. Block parties can happen in townhouse complexes, in apartment buildings, or even in a park near a condominium. A block party is simply a group of neighbors who work together to organize an event for their neighborhood.

Hosting a National Night Out party is a simple way for people to meet one another, have fun, and explore how they might work together to improve the safety and quality of their neighborhood. The City of Fremont encourages neighborhoods to organize a block party, barbecue, ice cream social or similar gathering. It is essential that you register your party by the deadline.
