Fremont Real Estate Tips and Information- Fremont’s Five Districts Series Part 5 Warm Springs
Warm Springs

Warm Springs at the south end of Fremont is the newest of the five districts and the closest to Silicon Valley. Named for its hot springs of mineral water, Warm Springs was the site of the world famous Warm Springs Hotel & Spa, Leland Stanford Winery (later known as Weibel), and Galindo-Higuera Adobe. Warm Springs is home to a diverse range of communities and properties. Located in the south of Fremont, between the I-880 and I-680 freeways, Warm Springs provides an excellent commute to San Jose and Silicon Valley. In addition to many single family homes, the area hosts a large number of condo complexes, so is particularly suited to condo-hunters. Its rolling green hills and views of Mission Peak to the east and San Francisco Bay to the west make it a coveted place to settle down.
Warm Springs offers attractions from the past as well as a look into the future of Silicon Valley as an attractive location for the high-tech and biotech industries. But simply calling it a great place to live while you work in San Jose or Mountain View would overlook its own importance in the Bay Area's economic boom. Warm Springs includes well- recognized private and public firms, many with established partnerships and operations across the globe. Within the Warm Springs district, you'll find the headquarters of many high-tech companies including Nielsen Norman Group, Corsair Memory and Lexar, Elitegroup Computer Systems, Asus and many of the country's top bio-tech firms. The district is also home to NUMMI, Fremont's largest employer (a joint automobile manufacturing plant for General Motors and Toyota).
With well respected elementary schools, Warm Springs has become a highly desirable place to raise children. The large Asian population in Mission San Jose comes to Warm Springs for authentic Asian stores such as the Lion Supermarket and the Little Taipei shopping center, between highway 680 and highway 880. What's more, it is now home to the large Pacific Commons Shopping Center.
Warm Springs is also wonderful place to live with many home buying opportunities available.
